finding courage to release

After struggling with a dense, unfulfilling opera based on a short story by N. Hawthorne all week,
this quote caught my attention, and redeemed the author in my estimation.
I have struggled so much with letting go of expectations lately,
expectations for myself and my professional and personal success,
expectations of other people in roles of authority.
This made me think twice about that elusive emotion of happiness.
