beauty in form

Every time my teacher harps on me to correct my form, I get aggravated that I can't just play perfectly:
with a beautiful sound, in tune, with obvious direction, with intention and purpose.
What's all this fussing about straight bows, collapsed wrist, leading with the fore arm stuff?

Then I watch something like this and realize how necessary the perfection of form is:
necessary for control, for accuracy, for health, for freedom, for a stronger statement of expression.

I would have been such an impatient ballet dancer.
But my appreciation is there 100%.

I love the title of this: "Le vent"
