I discovered a new level of heaven on earth
when I tried my hand at my first batch of homemade ricotta last week.
I had gotten home from a trip to Cleveland the night before after 1am, dropped my phone in a puddle,
woken up to rain, not wanting to run, practice, or even get up.
So I gave myself the morning off from my audition prep to grab fresh coffee beans for a new chemex,
and an hour to wander around the public market, my favorite Saturday morning haunt of late.
I came home with fennel raisin bread, the sweetest fresh strawberries and raspberries, and snap peas,
refreshed, smiling, and ready to be responsible again.
Trying my hand at ricotta was calling my name: pure, rich, creamy goodness.
Eating, drinking and enjoying: SIGN ME UP!
