inside the sound

I am becoming more and more obsessed with the Berlin Phil,
especially after hearing their principle flutist, Andreas Blau, play and give a masterclass.
I have never really loved the flute until hearing the possibilities in his sound.
And he won they job when he was in his twenties, while his dad was in the violin section
He is in his sixties on the verge of retirement, and sounds incredible.

I absolutely love this recent ad campaign.

Yet another reason to get to my Fulbright...

"This print campaign for the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra uses macro photographs taken inside the cramped spaces of instruments making the inner workings of a violin, cello, flute, and pipe organ appear vast and spacious, almost as if you could walk around inside them. So wonderfully done. Art directed by photographer Bjoern Ewers, you can see more over on Behance."
