what message to leave just in case

This made me think several times over especially on today's holiday. Celebrating past presidents in stark contrast to the orange embarrassment currently in office is even more infuriating than usual.
What affect is the reality of a mass shooting having on the longterm development of our children?

Not many words to describe this other than Weltschmerz.
