This is absolutely beautiful--I wonder how many of these traditional arts might go by the wayside. It reminds me of an unexpectedly free Monday morning at the library after a meeting had been cancelled. I got lost in a beautiful large-scale picture book that documented traditional artists who had been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, called National Heritage Fellows. It was a treasure trove of stories about instrument makers, boat makers, weavers, basket makers, musicians, potters, among others. Such a wonderful free gift of enjoyment and exploration--long live libraries!
