Thanks to the inimitable Oliver Jeffers for his wonderful instagram feed to contain my apprehension and excitement today.
I have been especially fascinated by the stories about the suffragettes 100 years ago, and am wearing white to stand with them at this momentous moment in history.

Today is the day to exercise your constitutional right to vote in the USA.
This election is too important not to show up.
Silence is not an option.
Silence is a vote for Trump.
Vote for those of us who can't.
I live in the USA. I'm raising a son in the USA. I pay tax in the USA and I do not have a vote. But I do have a voice.
So do you.
