a secular pilgrimage in another life... future fridays

There is something I have been thinking about a lot lately thanks to various bits of an Agnes Martin exhibit (described as a secular pilgrimage in the New Yorker) I have discovered lately in my class preparations, compared to my own recent shortcomings and struggles with my internal tires that just keep spinning in mud.

How do you reconcile this impossibility of getting a second chance with living towards the future?

What does this concept of eudaimonia in real life, when you are tired, trying to do better, but really just plain frustrated?
