I have been obsessed with clouds and open landscapes lately.
This picture caught my eye right away.

The Times staff photographer Monica Almeida captured these storm clouds in the sky while en route to the Mojave Desert on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms over the weekend had set records in drought-stricken southern and central California.
