I wonder if this is what the Old Testament had in mind when describing the ascension of the Prophet Elijah...

There's something innately satisfying about watching fire. The array of colors and the fluid movement of the flames are captivating, not to mention the popping and hissing sounds that accompany them. It's no wonder that some people have a clear obsession with it. The demonstration below is brought to us by the folks at Unallocated Space, who seem to have a fixation with fire. It's appropriately been named the "fire tornado," and it involves a fire pit and a dozen fans. Over time, they've perfected the wondrous display. The setup is not quite as simple as it looks. Lots of research, planning, and testing went into the ordeal - but it sure is amazing what a little wind and fire can create.
