I caught Beethoven op. 132 going through my head as I woke up this morning. I went hunting for it, and stumbled across this quartet, the Danish String Quartet, my new chamber music flames...
The work, Beethoven op. 74, the Harp Quartet is one of my favorites. I have many favorites, so that doesn't really count as a qualifier. It is wonderful nonetheless!
Every time I listen to it, I hear more motivic development across movements, things that make me wonder how Beethoven thought about his own work.
And when I hear these things, I couldn't imagine not being a musician.
