It was worth almost missing my train to smell this delicious fromagerie near the Gard de l'Est in Paris |
Dear Friends,
I am finally back!
My trip was wonderful and too short.
I could have stayed twice as long,
and I would have probably had the same reaction.
But it was so very wonderful to get away,
to remember what it is like to communicate in foreign languages
(my French needs some serious work!),
to remember what is important to me,
I could have stayed twice as long,
and I would have probably had the same reaction.
But it was so very wonderful to get away,
to remember what it is like to communicate in foreign languages
(my French needs some serious work!),
to remember what is important to me,
to reconnect with my family,
to revisit some of my favorite old haunts,
to see so many things I had wanted to see for so long,
to reflect on what I want to do with my work and my time,
to realize how much I value an inner sense of solitude and discipline,
and to leave having so much I wanted to see again,
and so much I had on my list to discover.
and so much I had on my list to discover.
At heart, I am a true wanderer--
I love the freedom of being such a nomad, the joy of discovering,
and the gratitude for random kindnesses.
In case you wanted to see, click on the link for a few of many, many pictures.
Thank you for being patient with my absence.
I hope your summer is winding down peacefully!
xoxo,

p.s. Welcome to my new blog layout--let me know what you think!
A new year, a fresh start, a new look.
I am still working out the kinks in the back-end as I wade through endless strings of
HTML code
p.p.s. I will be filling in posts from the last month.
I had saved up so many, but I did not have enough connectivity and I did not want to
waste my precious time staring at a screen. I do hope you understand.
Thanks again for hanging in there!
