Feed Your Dreams is a felt piggy bank which becomes fat and chunky as coins are stored in his belly. We came up with the idea when we were watching our two year old putting coins in her piggy bank made of tin... and asking if it is full enough for her to open it. It became clear that it was really hard for her to grasp the idea of "fullness" when she couldn't physically see what was inside.
We also feel that any toys and kids' items that go into the household should be just as designed as other artifacts in the home. It means that it should look beautiful placed on top of family's living room mantra as well as dad's office... and of course in a kid's room.
As a Feed Your Dreams piggy bank expands fuller and fuller with more coins inside, kids will learn an important lesson of saving and waiting for something they wish for... as well as the concept of volume. Felt as a material makes it easy for kids to handle the piggy bank (unlike a piggy bank made of ceramic) and also bring a playful nature to the piggy's personality. A brass zipper on the bottom of the pig's belly makes it easy for coins to be dispensed when it's time!
