Tchaikovsky concerto on 2 strings

And here I thought the viola was hard...
Who needs 4 strings to play this concerto anyways?

Shanghai born, George Gao lives in Toronto and teaches there at the Royal Conservatory of Music. His is an erhu master who has performed with many leading orchestras in North America, Europe and Asia, most recently with the Pacific Symphony in March of 2013 in a performance of the original erhu version of “The Butterfly Lovers.” Gao is the inventor of a modern version of the erhu, Shaoqin Erhu, and also a composer, whose credits include co-composing the scores for Bill Moyers’ documentary “Becoming American: The Chinese Experience” and the Oscar-winning documentary “The Blood of Yingzhou District.”
