No matter what your political position may be on this controversial topic,
I salute the President for taking a stand to respect the choices of people.
It makes me proud of my country for a little while.
May we seek to live by kindness, tolerance, compassion,
with a gentler way of looking at the world.
Even if you do not agree, I love Voltaire's suggestion,
that we ought to "think for ourselves, and let others enjoy the privilege to do so."
