grains of rice

I love the possibilities of interpretation in this project,
especially where so much is focused on giving and materials,
a complete juxtaposition in my mind.

For his latest exhibition at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, German artist Wolfgang Laib poured over 30,000 piles of rice and seven piles of pollen to create one of his largest installations ever entitled Unlimited Ocean.
