commitment 101

Committed people rule out excuses.  Exactly.  If you want it, you make it happen.  I’m going to say that one more time…   If you really want it, you will stop at nothing to make. it. happen.   You’re overwhelmed, you can’t, you’re too busy, you’re too tired, you don’t, you aren’t, you’ll never…   while some of this may be fact, why are you letting your circumstances define you?  YOU are stopping you.  If you want it, you will get it.  So, do you really want it?  So badly that you’ll turn off your internet for the day, turn off your phone, literally stop saying the words “can’t” and “never”, turn up the music, trash it, start it, take 5 minutes to prepare for tomorrow, look at the bigger picture, do the work, block off your schedule, start the conversation, write it out, take control, finally let go, admit what you are really afraid of, unfollow, follow, ASK FOR IT, say no, say yes, take a day off, a week off, take a risk (but is it really a risk if you are risking to live your life to the fullest?), get on your knees and pray hard, say thank you, ask for help, accept the challenge, finally send that email, make the call, forgive, give it all, make the leap or throw those stress Skittles in your desk away?  Stop making excuses.  Stop letting distractions keep you from the life you know you should be living.   Life is too short.  Get out of “overwhelmed” and do something about it.  Now is your time.  Is making it happen worth killing your excuses?  I’d say YES.  I’m in.  Are you?  - Lara
P.S. We’re off on the Making Things Happen Tour starting tomorrow.  I can’t wait to see everyone soon and start this 2011 adventure with Gina, Em and Natalie.  Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte and New York… it’s time to make things happen!
