negative space in ceramics

I was recently thinking about how jack-o-lanterns
are such good examples of negative space.
And then I ran across these beauties.

The ceramic bowls of Isabelle Abramson are just too pretty to ever use.  Besides costing a pretty penny, though they are worth every single one, these are works of art.  The thin walled set of 4 ceramic dessert bowls with a subtle scalloped exterior or the berry bowl with individually drilled holes are truly jaw dropping.  What makes the story even more inspiring is that these pieces are the work of a 28 year old, self taught woman from Boston.
